Lightroom wont open due to corrupted catalog

Lightroom wont open after trying to launch corrupt catalog. Restarted my computer and tried a couple more times. Now it gets stuck wont open and a black bar appears on computer screen saying Lightroom-Opening Catalog: Lightroom Catalog.zip

How do I fix this?

Restore a recent backup of your catalog file.

Were you attempting to open the backup of your catalog? (the backup would be compressed). If you are attempting to open your backup, then you need to:

1. Copy the backup to a different folder than the Backup Folder
2. Unzip that copy
3. Double click on that unzipped copy (in Windows File Explorer)
