I need to figure a way to brighten/intensify just the one specific area & at the same time possibly correct the color..Appreciate all input.

In the Adobe Creative Cloud App, "Apps" tab at the very end of the "Lightroom Classic" line, click the three dots and then choose tutorials. You will be looking for Using Masking.

As Kenneth suggests, just mask the area you want to adjust - Lr provides a number of options for selective editing.

 

His suggestion about tutorials seems apposite, too.
