Long delay moving between images

I don't know where to start! I'm running Lightroom classic latest version on a surface studio pro 32 gig ram, i7 11th gen, GeForce RTX3050 GPU, 1T SSD internal drive, Windows 11 and it's like I'm using a Sinclair spectrum 48K. It's so slow I just can't work on it. I can't even move between images without a long delay. There are no sync errors yet it is constantly attempting to sync my latest folder of images From a wedding and only managed one fifth of the images before it has got stuck again. This keeps happening. I've not had this problem with previous versions. I just don't know what's going on! Anyone know where I can start?!

Sorry I won't help you but... Lightroom Classic is equally slow on my end (M1 Pro 16GB).
I've resolved myself to use either Lightroom which is much faster, or even my iPad, which is much much faster than Classic.

A lot of people are reporting the same problem with Classic, across different forums.

I often had sync errors in the past, although for me it's reverse, it seems to be much better lately.

Please post your System Information as Lightroom Classic (LrC) reports it. In LrC click on Help, then System Info, then Copy. Paste that information into a reply. Please present all information from first line down to and including Plug-in Info. Info after Plug-in info can be cut out as that is just so much dead space to us non-Techs and it takes up vast amounts of scroll space making the reply less readable and less likely that others will bother with your post.

• Is that your only hard drive
• If your catalog is on that hard drive, then how much free space in percent? Looking for at least 20%, some say 25%

thank you. Good reminder, I have cleared a bit more space on my HD. Slight improvement but still investigating!
