I recently removed some old apps and files and catalogues, such as old versions of LRClassic and PS on my Mac. I can edit my pics in my LRClassic catalogue, but my LRClassic can no longer open Canon's CR3 pics, though PS can. Can I reinstall LRClassic without damaging my cataogues?

When I try to read the photos off of my SD card, LRC can see the SD card, but it shows no photos. AND, my PS can see the SD card and open any of the photos.
So in the Import dialog box, the photos don't appear? Can you show us a screen capture of the ENTIRE Import dialog box when this happens? Use the "Insert Photos" icon to include your screen capture in your reply.

Expand the Destination panel on the right and make sure a valid destination folder is selected (in other words, folder that actually exists)

I've been putting photos in this folder for months, and it hasn't moved.

Nevertheless, please expand the Destination panel and show it to us. Sometimes people report that expanding the Destination panel makes the images appear in the Import dialog box.

Confused or misunderstanding. Your first screenshot shows the LrC Import screen, with your main MACOS hard drive selected, and in a folder on that hard drive. Not an SD card. Your second screenshot shows MACOS Finder showing some folder, I do not know where, the SD card, or the MACOS main hard drive?

Sory for the confusion. I inferred that the problem was either in LR's inability to read the file, or a corrupted SD card. So after the first screen I copied the CR3 photos to my Mac main hard drive, to eliminate the possibility was a corrupted SD card.

We need to see in the screen capture of the Finder the full path of the folder in question.

In your first screen capture, the Destination panel on the right side of the Import dialog box is not expanded. We need to see it expanded.
I am not a Mac person, but your Lightroom Classc import dialog screen capture shows Macintosh HD\Users\stanleyselkow\desktop\untitled folder as the folder you have selected, but the Finder screen capture seems to only show desktop\untitled folder, and I don't know if those are the same or not.

Yes they are the same.

To rule out a problem with the CR3 files, change the import type in the import dialog from "Copy to DNG" to "Add" (no need to proceed with the import, it's just a test to see if the files then appear in the centre grid). If they DO appear, that would suggest that there's a problem with the Destination setting, and which is why @dj_paige has been asking for a screenshot of that expanded Destination panel.
