Loupe view double click behavior

Is there any way to turn off the double click behavior that switches loupe view to grid view in library mode?

I'm almost certain that it wasn't like that before the last update. I think it used to just zoom in on a double click.

It's not possible to change the behaviour, but you may find that changing the double-click speed in macOS Settings (Mouse settings) helps.

Your memory is playing tricks on you. Double-click Loupe view photos switches to Grid view and vice versa has been default behaviour in the Library module from the very first Lightroom build released on 9 January 2006. Single-click in Loupe view zooms the photo. Again, default behaviour from original release.
