LR 13.0.1, Mas OS14 (Sonoma), now Epson P900 prints VERY dark

Sonoma 14.0 and LrC  13.0.1 are not playing well together in terms of printing to an Epson P900.  Prints are coming out 2-3 stops too dark. Everyting worked fine in OS13. A good friend has the same equipment, software etc., and his prints are also very dark.  Aslo happens when color managemenet is set to "printer".  The Brightness and Contrast slider in the print module can offset the dark, but some colors feel off.  Anyone else experiencing this?  There are no OS14 Epson drivers yet.  Regret installing Sonoma now since it is apparently NOT fully compatible with our LRC eco systems.

Any thoughts or suggestions are greatly appreciated!

In that case, reinstall the driver.

It could be that media type is not correctly handled in the driver. That would affect ink density.

If your prints are too dark, your screen is too bright.

Monitor white needs to be a visual match to paper white. You cannot print brighter than paper white, but you can lower screen brightness.

Obviously, print viewing light, ambient light and the whole working environment will affect your perception. So it's not possible to give any specific numbers for white point color or brightness. It' a visual match - if it looks right, it is right.

If you really want a close screen-to-print match, do the same for the black point.

This is not my first rodeo. I am well aware of the screen brightness - print relationship. That is NOT what is going on here. The only thing that changed in my system was installing OS14… and maybe LrC 13.01. I don’t print a great deal but had printed just fine a week before the issue popped up. And my friend has experienced the very same thing.

I was very skeptical that a simple reinstall of the printer drivers would work, BUT it did!  After closing LR I downloaded and installed the Epson drivers for OS13, rebooted the computer, and opened LrC 13.01.  Now pritning is fine.  Thanks very much!!

Hi, I have the same issue but, as of today, I can't seem to find an installer for drivers for OS13. The installer provider in the Epson page is the same for OS13 and OS14. They both install the latest version (12.62) of the dirver. I would appreciate if you could somehow share the installer you used. Thank you so much in advanced!!

Canon PRO300 doing this also, and in this case the updated print driver did not fix it (though the process was sloppy despite claiming to be successful, with usigned developer popups from Canon along with an ill-timed "how are doing?") Everything printed now is deeply dark, and the only change is the regrettable Sonoma installation.
