i use LR very little on my lap top but it is useful at times. I had a perpetual VV5 but it is on cd and my new laptop does not have a cd player. Help please?
Is it true as Adobe have just told me that standalone versions will now now work?

What operating system are you using? Lightroom 5 will not install on MAC OSX Catalina or Big Sur.
Otherwise, you can download Lightroom 5 from https://prodesigntools.com/lightroom-5-ddl-comparison-vs-lr4.html or buy an external CD/DVD drive.
