LR 5 error

Hi I am using LR5 and today which i open LR i get a message as - LR encountered an error when reading from its preview cache and needs to quit

So having done that no better on next start up of LR5, so on website it suggests deleting preview file, which i have done, but again no better and still cant open LR5 - so help please someone as i am in need of advice, i am also not great on computers so basic laymans terms please

Perhaps you deleted the wrong previews; show us a screen capture of your operating system showing the folder that contains your catalog file.

so on website it suggests deleting preview file

Do you actually mean File? As opposed to Folder? (ref 1) tells you to remove the Library Previews Folder.
