LR 6 Classic

The end of last month, on import images are no longer showing up in a new Catalog Folder. I am importing the images to an external HD but have been doing it this way for years with no trouble. I have figured out a work around but it is more time consuming and need to rectify the problem. Any ideas?

Lightroom 6 is not Lightroom Classic, it is the last standalone version of Lightroom that was released. Importing images to an external hard drive should be fairly straightforward. In the import dialog, simply specify a destination on that external hard drive in the right-hand column. It shouldn't require any sort of workaround. What is this time-consuming workaround that you feel has been necessary?

What does "new Catalog Folder" mean? Can you show us?

Are you accidentally clicking on Done instead if Import?

Done was not an option in Lr6
