I run LR and store all my photos on a primary external hard drive, and then regularly back it up to two other external HDs. I had just finished editing some photos today and was quitting LR. I chose to backup my catalog during the exit process, but while that backup was in progress, the cable between my Macbook Air and the external HD was accidentally disconnected. When I reconnect the HD now, the file Lightroom Catalog-2-2-v10.lrcat, which I use to launch LR, is missing. The HD was backed up to a second external HD the other day, so is the best (only?) solution to use Carbon Copy Cloner to now clone the backup to my primary HD? I would lose today's edited photos, but the originals are still on the SD card so I could edit them again, although I'd prefer not to have to do that. Is there any other way to restore my .lrcat file?

Thanks. I scrolled through my Finder for .lrcat files but didn't see it. I then used the search feature and found it. It opened Lightroom for me and so far it looks like everything's intact except maybe a dozen of today's edited photos which appear to be damaged. I'll gladly take that, delete the damaged files, and reload them from the SD card. Thanks for the help.
