LR Classic not modifying Capture Date

Greetings,

I have been a long time (2007) LR user, have gone through the many iterations of it, piling family photos in, but not keeping tremendous organization. Variety of cameras over the years, from digital imports, film scans, dSLR, etc.    This Summer, I'm putting massive effor to bring order to this catelog. LR on a macbook, up to date all around.  203K photos in catalog.

I've hit early snag.  Somehow, over the years MANY of my photos have wrong metadata, or the data has been changed.

I've just notice that several hundred images from 7/23/1999   have LR meta caputre dates all over the calendar.  I've tried to bulk change the capture dates back to 7/23/1999,   but is not taking for some reason.

Please see this short screen video of my steps, and the resulting failure to change the dates on all photos selected:

Any ideas what is going wrong?

OK, I solved this problem by using the exceptionally well done plugin: Capture Time to EXIF  from John Beardsworth

That method changed, or would have changed, each image date/time by an amount of time specified, so they would not get the exact time, it would be proportionate, and if on a different date, say year, same thing.

So, the image selected vs the last image shown post edit, what were the dates those images were captured?
