Hi team,

This is my first time posting here and it's because I haven't found a solution to my problem in syncing masks to other photos in lightroom classic. So I edit my photos, as usual and I use mask to apply specific adjustments to the persons in the photos. However, when I try to sync the adjustments to the rest of the photos all are sync except for the masks. For example, I have applied masks to 4 people in the picture and sync it to another photo with the same people in the same order, but only the person on the far left is getting the mask adjustment. Please help.

Hi GoldingD,

I'm actually adjusting the parameters (exposure, color grading, curves, calibration, details, & masking) in one photo first. Then I look for similar shots with similar persons (e.g. 4 people in a row). I select them all and click sync and choose all the parameters that I want to be applied to the rest of the photos including the mask. But when I check, the rest of the photos its always the person on the left only gets the masking effect. I can share screenshots here.

There was somebody else with this issue on the forum. I think this is a bug but also perhaps a limitation of the system. The system only recognizes that there are people, not which people. That said it should be able to do what you want with masks for person 2 synced to person2 in the next image. That sounds like a simple thing.

Hi Jao,

Yes, I've read that issue here before, but after following all recommendations it didn't change anything. I also forgot to add that I tried using a different laptop and it didn't have that issue except for a few photos where some persons where not in focus, but masking was applied to the rest of the photos with the persons. Both LR CC in both laptops are updated.

I've been bitching about this for months now. Adobe doesn't even acknowledge the problem exist. I've tried different things like only checking the masks I want to apply to a specific person but the masks are still applied to the first person. I've tried unchecking all masks and rechecking the boxes, it worked once not again.
