LR Classic updates

Yesterday I updated LR Classic 12.2.1 and as a consequence I can no longer run Lightroom.  The programme tries to open and then crashes.  Has anyone got any advice?

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post if it helps you get responses.

I'd uninstall via the Creative Cloud app and then reinstall fresh for starters.
