Since the last update (11.0) LR freezes (2 or 3 times) or crashes (nearly all the time) as soon as I open a mask.

What can I do?

Hi there,

We're sorry about the trouble with Lightroom Classic. Could you please let us know which masking tool you are trying to use? Please share the System Info of Lightroom Classic by going to Help > System Info and you may copy and paste the information and send it to us. We're here to help. Just need some info.

Try resetting the preferences of Lightroom Classic: https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/help/setting-preferences-lightroom.html

Backup your preferences prior to resetting the preferences: https://helpx.adobe.com/ca/lightroom-classic/kb/preference-file-and-other-file-locations.html

Let us know if that helps.

Regards,

Tarun

@defaultb0hl6jeu4qi6, your graphics driver is four years out-of-date:

DirectX: NVIDIA GeForce MX130 (23.21.13.8873)

Do a clean uninstall/update to the latest driver following the precise instructions here:

https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/kb/troubleshoot-gpu.html#solution-4

Please post your System Information as Lightroom Classic (LrC) reports it. In LrC click on Help, then System Info, then Copy. Paste that information into a reply. Please present all information from first line down to and including Plug-in Info. Info after Plug-in info can be cut as that is just so much dead space to us non-Techs.
