LR overwhelmed by simplest operations on Fuji RAWs?

Neither Classic or "modern" Lr is capable of consistently exporting JPEGs from Fuji x-t5 RAW files. Sometimes it outright crashes, sometimes it corrupts cached image (needs to be reimported) by creating high contrast mess. Sometimes (as per attached) it displays random garbage before crashing.

I'm Lr user almost from the beginning, but I have a feeling Adobe despises their customers and it's time to go...

Please post your System Information as Lightroom Classic (LrC) reports it. In LrC click on Help, then System Info, then Copy. Paste that information into a reply. Please present all information from first line down to and including Plug-in Info. Info after Plug-in info can be cut out as that is just so much dead space to us non-Techs and it takes up vast amounts of scroll space making the reply less readable and less likely that others will bother with your post.

AMD for GPU, that just screams out to make sure that the adrenalin app supplied by AMD as part of the GPU driver, is not treating LrC as a game. This is an issue that came up a month or two ago. Issue is AMD fouled up the GPU control such as a nice feature to improve performance for specific applications treated LrC as a game, not as a very resource hungry creative app. Those tweaks cause LrC to have issue.

Look at your AMD GPU controls to see if that is the case, turn that feature off and see what occurs (mind you one would think AMD would have fixed this by now)

AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT (31.0.24031.5001)

So Windows Store v31.0.24031.5001. I think that over at AMD Windows Store v 31.0.24033.1003 was released last month. I have no idea if that fixes anything for LrC.

Hi,
Thanks, will do. Also, as I was pasting the specs, I noticed the plugins and asked myself - 'when the last time I used Flickr?' So I disabled all the plugins as well - that seem to help (knock on wood). But will give the Adrenaline config a try as well.

Hmm, odd that an old (and I think no longer working) plug-in would be an issue for this, Unless something is odd in your Export Dialog settings.

Can you share a screenshot of your Export Dialog?

Your conclusions are way off base.

Your graphics card is approximately 5 years old now. It may be that your Graphics card is too old or is using a corrupted/out-of-date driver. First, update the driver on your GPU and see if the problem goes away. If that doesn't help, go into preferences and vlick on the Performance tab and select custom and then de-select (un-check) the box that says "Use GPU for Export".

funny how people jump to hardware-blaming. I tested all competition on the same hardware (wondering why?) and not a single one of them failed. Some of them used the graphics card until it started screaming with its fans, yet never failed.

"I tested all competition on the same hardware (wondering why?) and not a single one of them failed."

LR uses the graphics processor much differently than other apps, including other photo and video apps. As Adobe pushes the capabilities of GPUs, LR often trips over graphics driver bugs, of which there are many. There are literally hundreds of posts here over the last several years of problems with LR getting fixed by updating old drivers.

With respect to your AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT, Mac OS 14.4.1 released a buggy driver for the 5000-series GPUs many months ago that has screwed many LR users with older Intel Macs.  Apple still hasn't included a fixed driver. You're on Windows and have access to more recent AMD drivers, but it illustrates how AMD driver problems, especially with older GPUs, can cause problems for LR.
