Hello
I am using Lightroom Classic CC 11.1 and then today 11.2 on an M1 MacBook Air / 16 GB / Monterey 12.1 (12.2 soon).
Lightroom climbs to 20 GB RAM and uses 9 GB swap.
Memory pressure is between yellow and red, before the swap increases.
Thankfully the SSD takes the swap fast, but I still feel that it could be faster at time.
That's the only windowed app opened on the system (except Activity Monitor in which I track the progress).
I am working on Z50 RAW files (~24 MB/file) and I go through 30 RAW max in a session. Library is ~350 Z50 RAW. It was created with one of the former LRCC 11.* version.
I'm doing mostly brushes and linear/radial gradients. Little sharpening.
I've been using LR4 (or 5?) on D800 RAW files in the past on a 16 GB Mac / El Capitan 10.11.6 and never saw such issues (LR never used all my RAM and it didn't make the computer swap).
D800 RAW were about 35 MB in size.
Is this memory usage a know issue?
What information do you need so that it gets fixed?
I understand that memory should be used when its free, but it seems it is a little too much to me.
Side effect is some slowness moving from one file to another.

So I can't see where I can edit, but I see that my title is wrong.
Can it be changed to: "LR uses 20 GB RAM on M1 MBA" or something along this line?
