LRC 14.0.1 Previews won't build

I uninstalled/reinstalled LR Classic (v14.0.1), trashing all preferences at the time. I even restart my iMac M3. I'm still unable to build previews for all 5000 images in my catalog. When I instruct LR to build all standard previews I get a progress bar with no progress. Oddly, when I click on a grid square the preview builds. But meanwhile I have a 5000 image catalog with very few previews. Very frustrating. Any help is appreciated.

Were you able to figure this out? It's obviously a known issue but Adobe hasn't addresseed it. Someone said it might be a permissions issue. If I click on the image, it generated a preview but then if I move to the next one, the preview goes away. It's like it cannot save the preview. Images are still in LR, you can edit them in Develop mode. Just the thumnails and previews don't save.

I am on M4 Sequoia 15.1.1
