LRC 14.2 metadata writing

New update to LRC 14.2 on Windows 11 - writing metadata stalls or takes forever.

Writing metadata to even one file (jpg, dng, heic) stalls with the "Saving Metadata" task bar at top left showing no movement.

Updated graphics driver, still the same.

Where are the images saved? Are they on an external drive or your computer's local storage? You can try to reset the preferences of Lightroom using the steps mentioned here: https://adobe.ly/2JSym5e

The images are stored on a NAS.   There have been no changes in our system or setup, just the update to 14.2.

Data Point for comparison only.

I have a Win 10 System with 14.2 installed and images stored on a NAS accessed via WIFI. Writing metadata [Ctrl]+[S] to (5) files takes under 2 seconds. (The files are DNG.) 

The speed appears to be similar to pre-update (14.1.1) speeds.

Rick - my system wrote metadata at comparable or better speeds until 14.2
