When importing images from my 120 GB XQD Sony camera card, i'm getting total crash of the process, and getting messages "Lightroom encountered an error when reading a catalog file and needs to quit" AND "Disk Not Ejected Properly" for both of my SSD drives - my main catalog drive and my backup.  I'm in 12/4 Release and Camera Raw 15.4

This has been going on with any and every card I use.  At first I thought it might be a bad XQD card, so I used other cards in my Z8 and Z9....and I have the same issue.  What is interesting, is it appears the images DO load in the catalog.  But, I have to FORCE quit the program, and put the card in again to be certain the images did load.

Anyone else having this issue and know how to resolve it?

I had a weird issue importing from an iPhone/iPad today. Initial import did not import all photos, subsequent attempts simply showed a completely blank import panel (no photos shown). I was very confused. This was on a Win10 desktop.

I then tried a memory card - XQD and SD, also no images shown.

Something very amiss!

I repeated these steps on my Win10 laptop, everything worked as expected.

Now back at my desktop, and after a reboot and using a USB port directly on the motherboard, everything is working as expected.

I can't seem to 'break' it again now. LrC 12.4 / ACR 15.4.
