LRc Freezes and won't start after updating to LRc v11

After updateing to LRc V11 freezes and I have to force quit. I spent quite a bit of time with Adobe Support yesterday and we were able to start LRc when logged in as the root user. I also created a new Administrator account and was able to launch LRc.

All this points to permission issues and while on the chat with Adobe, we changed permissions for Lrc and the Library to Read and Write for everyone. Still no success.

After uninstalling V11 and reinstalling V10.4 from the cloud, LRc starts normally.

I'm also having the same issue with Bridge, it freezes and I have to force quit. The difference here is that all previous versions of Bridge also now freeze even after uninstalling Bridge 2022.

I'm on a Late 2014 iMac with 136GB of freespace on a 1TB SSD, 32GB memory, running Big Sur 11.6.1.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Please post your System Information as Lightroom Classic (LrC) reports it. In LrC click on Help, then System Info, then Copy. Paste that information into a reply. Please present all information from first line down to and including Plug-in Info. Info after Plug-in info can be cut as that is just so much dead space to us non-Techs.

I do not think this has anything to do with your problem other than clutter. It may also point to hard drive space being used by outdated upgrades apps.

In your plug-in section, lots of older versions for older third party apps.

For example:

22) ON1 Photo RAW 2019
23) ON1 Photo RAW 2020
24) ON1 Photo RAW 2021

Do you still use the older versions? You may want to clean that up.

I've bugun removing the older plugins and will probably pare it down to just the current LRc delivered ones. So far, removing the oldest plugins has not made a difference.

And I've also got the Bridge freeze up on top of the LRc problem. I've been looking at the Bridge log file located in /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Bridge 20222 and it gets to the point where it says Camera Raw Filter was loaded and then nothing after that.

These two problems are certainly head scratchers.

For that hard drive, in percent %, how much free space, looking fir at least 20%, some say 25%

It's about 15%, but version 10 was running with less. I'm continuing to do cleanup, but I don't think this is a free space issue.

Actually, I misread you response. The free space on that external drive is about 3TB, so there is plenty of free space.
