LRC not importing photos using Big Sur 11.6

LRC not importing photos since i updated OS to Big Sur 11.6.  Is there any work around for this?

Upgraded from the previous version of Big Sur. When using "Import Photos and Video" from a desktop folder I get a prompt that no photos found.

Importing from desktop. So photos already on a hard drive? Are you using Add as method?

Yes, using Add. Found a slight work-around. I can open the entire folder and scroll down to the latest photos and then develop them.  But still cannot import latest photos.

Possible oddity, possible urban legand.

Even though you are going to ADD, and as such, the destination should not be an issue. Temporarily change to Copy, No, do not import, take a look at the Destination, is the destination a legitimate one? If not, correct that. Then change to Add, and retry.

LrC should remember the destination from previous use, but if that got moved/replaced/deleted, then things can go down hill, even though it should not be an issue as in Add.
