LrC und GPS Daten

New Here ,
Feb 08, 2024 Feb 08, 2024

Wirlklich toll.

In the Import window's Apply During Import panel, are you applying a metadata preset? If so, set Metadata to None and try to import photos with GPS locations:

If that now works, then edit your Import metadata preset and uncheck the Camera Info > GPS, Altitude, and Direction fields.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

Displayed where?

A screenshot may help.

Thanks for the tip.

When importing you can only use the standard metadata without presets then
the GPS data will be displayed. Unfortunately, this means that some settings
are missing. Adobe support hasn't been able to help me for months, but now
it works.

Thank you very much.

Vielen Dank vorab, Klauser

That part where you state that you use Lr 6.14. That is critical. If I remember correctly, the mapping capability in Lr depends upon an API at Google, that changed, and that Adobe no longer wants to pay for under old Lr 6.

@klaus100745: "It would be nice if the map could also be seen directly in LR. Is that possible? By the way: I use LR 6.14 under WIN 11"

Unfortunately, it's not possible. The Map module stopped working in LR 6 six years ago:

https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic-discussions/kartenmodul-maps-hoppla-ein-fehler-ist-...

"However, it is only the coordinates . I then have to enter (copy) these in Google Earth or Maps, for example, to get a map view ."

If you hold down Alt / Opt and click the right arrow to the right of the GPS coordinates in the Metadata panel, that will automatically open Google Maps on those coordinates:
