I am trying to create a color profile in LightRoom Classic using the X-rite Colorchecker target and the workflow in LrC.

But whe I get an error message "Profile Cannot be Created".  I am directed to a help link, but it produces a 404 error message!

I have the photo of the target, cropped (I've tried many), and use the File>Export with Preset> Colorchecker Profile.

Help will be gratefully appreciated.

This is old and unsupported software. Most likely it runs into a permission problem. Check if the 'ColorChecker Camera Calibration.app' is listed (but disabled) in MacOS System Setting - Privacy & Security - Full Disk Access. If it is listed but unchecked, then check it. If it is unlisted then add it using the plus button. If you use MacOS Sequoia then I'm not sure if you need to do even more than that.

Thank you Johan for the detailed answer.  In following your advice I discovered another problem preventing my  success, rectified by a new install of the latest. software from the Calibrite website.  Much appreciated.

Johan, any other suggestions? I'm getting the same error message after enabling full disk access as you mentioned. I'm also running the latest version of MacOS, Lightroom Classic, and Calibrite's ColorChecker Camera Calibration. I have a shoot this week and am stumped...

Not sure if this helps but here's an error message I'm getting in the LrC plug-in manager.

I found success using the Calibrite app on my iMac.  I loaded the color profile into the app, and miraculously it showed up in my Lightroom after rebooting. I seem to remember that the FAQ page for Calibrite dealt with a few different error messages too. Good luck.
