Masking people the selection has artefacts - no control

For some reason when people are masked there is this horrible pixely mess around the edge.

Not sure why this should be so.
Like Capture One can there not be some control over tidying this up.  They have refine!
Also you could blend the edge better and give us some control as it's time consuming to do it by hand.  Almost quicker to select the person by hand first, which defeats the objects of the auto mask!

You could attempt to accomplish a SUBTRACT, and select Color Range, then click on the background.

Another possible way, and this actually comes from a AI Sky trick, is as shown in the following video. It may or may not work

Not to sure if you could copy/paste or create a preset to apply from the mask created, and then apply it to other photos, as the AI Person is a bit more involved than AI Sky (think multiple people, and selecting what person, what part of the person)

/edit/ Just attempted the AI Sky trick as an AI People trick, created a preset from a single person photo, applied it to another single person photo, it applied (this was an entire person) (I do not get offered a selection of what part of the person in this preset application). Then attempted on a multiple person, it applied to all the people (so not so great in terms of individual people)

Iit's a nice idea, but not sure it'll sovle the problem. This is happening on random messy backgrounds as well.

I think Adobe need to have a look at this, don't really want to add further stages to something that nearly works.  It needs some after AI controls that might soften edges as most people won't notice.

We are being spoilt as doing this by hand was a pain but i feel like we are having to do more unessary work where some afer adjusments would help.
