Bonjour à tous,
Windows 10.
I fear I will hate the cloud versions !
Lightroom Classic (current version 12.4) is not CLOUD software; and is essentially the same software as your old Lr 5.7, but with a lot of new features. It can convert your Lr 5.7 catalog without issues.
Like 6.0 I used already for a first step conversion with no problem.
What 6.0 are you referring to? Is this the very old Lightroom 6.0 which has no cloud features at all, or the new Lightroom 6.0 which stores photos in the cloud? Show us a screen capture. Click in the "Insert Photos" icon; do not attach files.
here is the 6.0 or 6.14 I used to to convert my 5.7 catalog installed as a30 days test
The 6.2 licence I got unfortunately with a cloud catalog which in the migration progress at 3% pops up the folowing message
The screen with the error message.
It still seems to me you have the wrong software. You do not want to upgrade to Lightroom 6.2, this is the wrong software to upgrade to; instead, you want Lightroom Classic 12.4, and then the catalog conversion would happen very easily.

Bugs are not fileable on very old versions of Lightroom - moving to discussions.

You may need to update to Lightroom 6.14 from below link.

Note that above is a legitimate source for older versions of Lightroom.
If above doesn't solve your issue, then have a look at the link I've provided below that deals with Lightroom 6 installation/activation issues. You may find a solution on the last page (20) otherwise contact @CMass

I am downloading the legitimate 6.14 and let you know.

The problem is that I can't use it on the long term I have no licence.
I have only a 6.2 licence which is a cloud. That's why I tried to convert the 6.0 catalog to the 6.2, but without success.
But I am not sure to understand all the differences in the versions post 5.7 and the associated / marketing / wording !
