Missing files

In an effort to finally locate the missing images in LR, I have attempted to go to my other hard drive labelled “My Edited Lightroom Drive”. I searched for the dates which approximately corresponds to the dates where I am sure those missing files would be found.

I looked in a LR catalog dated 5/28/18. I found the images in question. But all these files were missing. As a matter of fact about 1/3 of the contents are missing. So I chose a few other later dates 7/09/18 and 7/12/18 now and found that ALL the images and blank previews were also missing.This makes no sense to me.It feels like my images are being chewed up leaving blank previews.  Any help would be most appreciated....I'm stumpted!

Hi there, 

The images show missing in Lightroom Classic if the application is unable to to locate them at the original location from where they were imported. 

You would need to check if you have have moved or deleted the images from the location from where they were imported. For that, you can check the folder in the Library module to check if the folder that contains the images shows up a Question mark.
