Missing images

I'm trying to upload images from my SD card. I can see them on my camera, but when I put the card into the SD card reader on my Apple laptop, two days do not show up. I'm not sure how to find them. I was able to transfer them to my phone using the Canon app directly from the camera

A couple of questions-

What do you see in the LrC Import 'Source' panel? Do you have [Show sub-folders] checked on?

Does Mac Finder show the files on the SD card?

Can you copy the files from the SD card to an internal location in your Mac and import from there?

Hi, thanks for your reply.  The source panel I have tried to attach a photo.  I checked and unchecked show sub folders and it didn't change what i could see.  I can see the files is Mac finder.  I will try to copy from the SD card to the computer.  I'm pretty new at this so I'll have to figure that work flow out.
