How can i move a picture to a different folder? I am in Lightroom, in the Library, and the folders are open on the left side. I look in a folder, see a photo, and I want to move it to a different folder. It would seem that this would be the most used action on this photo. I see nothing in the metadata that will let me move it, and when i right click on the folder there are dozens of actions, but none are Move to Another Folder. I have looked for over 30 minutes how this can be done and it has finally just frustrated me, so here I am.
Thanks,
Joe

Just drag it to a different folder...

To add to what Melissa said, you have to drag from the photo, not the border.

I wanted to do the same, but the above answers for Lr Classic.
In Lightroom select photos, and think of the folder as a tree, choose where you want to add the folder, right click and a sub menu shoudl appear, e.g.,
If you want a new folder, use "Create Folder in ..." then you have the following dialog:
Type the name of the folder, and be sure to choose "... include selected photos".
Once you have folders, you can drag and drop photos as explained above.
I believe the same will work in LrC
