Moving Edited Photos from one catalog to a new catalog in Lightroom Classic

I recently moved some photos that I had already completed all of the edits for, and then realized that they were in the wrong catalog. As a result, I created a new catalog and transferred the photos to their own unique catalog. I have just discovered that none of my edits have been transferred to the new catalog, but only after I had already deleted the images from the incorrect catalog.

Is it possible to recover my edits? Upon reviewing the backup file, I discovered that everything is dated today, the date when the changes were made.

Thank you in advance for any wisdom and advice.

By default edits are only saved in the catalog, not in the images. You can save them in XMP sidecar files with the images as well, but apparently you did not do that. If you have a catalog backup then you have a backup of the edits, and so you can do it again. Either save the edits in XMP and then import the images in the other catalog, or export the images as a new (temporary) catalog and then import this catalog (Import from Another Catalog). If you do not have a catalog backup, then your edits are gone.

Johan, thank you for your advice. I will try to open the backup files and then create the XMP sidecar files.

Once again, thank you.
