moving photos with Lightroom Classic edits to different computer

I need help please-so confused.

I have folder of photos I edited on LrC on a differnt computer that are stored on an external hard drive.

I need to move those photos with their edits to my main computer.  

I am using macOS.

Thanks, but not sure this works for my case. I had lightroom on my old computer with one folder of photos. I need to move them and their edits to the other computer. The other computer also has multiple folders of photos. I want to merge the folder from the old computer into the folder that already exists on the newer computer.  

How would I go about that?

Are the images on the newer computer already part of a Lightroom catalog on that computer?
