The problem is I have too many hard drives. Everything was ok; I had just one catalog per hard drive, which was manageable. The problem with Lightroom catalogs started when I changed the computer. I copied all the information about the Lightroom catalog from the old computer to the new one. I also got a new 8TB hard drive and created a new catalog. After that, Lightroom started making new catalogs and asking me for updates. I was jumping from one catalog to another, from one hard drive to another. I found out that I can't find the folders that I was working on and already had a huge amount of work done. I need help by helping me to get on the right track with all this mess I created.

Unless you are doing something wrong, LrC should not ask you to make new catalogs. Go into Preferences->General and select a catalog that LrC should use when LrC opens.
You need to consolidate the catalogs you already have, and work with one catalog.

You cannot have too many hard drives for Lightroom Classic, and you do not need to have one catalog per drive. Lightroom can handle as many drives as you want from one single catalog. My suggestion would therefore be that you open the biggest catalog and promote this as your one and only catalog. Then use 'File - Import from Another Catalog' and import the other catalogs into this main catalog one by one. Do not move the images during this import.
