My preset installer in on my desktop but greyed out anytime I try to use it to upload on my Mac

Every time I try to upload my preset in lightroom through prefrences or + preset it is showing my mastin preset installer greyed out.  I recently backed up my mac, reformated my mac and dragged preset over/tried to pull from external hardrive. NO luck, its on my desktop fine but showing grey when I try to more or install it. Any advise is welcome TY Aly

This would be a problem on your hard drive. MACOS Finder is displaying the grayed files to tell you something is wrong.

I went in to Google, typed in :

MACOS Finder files greyed out

And got an immediate hit:
