Can somebody post a clear answer if Adobe Lightroom CC current version supports Nikon Z5 fully with all lens correction data for Z-mount lenses?
If the systen is partially supported, is there a simple list of what is supported and what is not?
Nikon Z 5 images are completely supported by Lightroom Classic 9.4 or later. All lens profiles are applied by the camera and used directly by Lightroom Classic (and I don't think you can turn this off). So every lens is supported.
Thanks for your reply. Are you talking from personal experience or is there an official document from Adobe?
I don't have that camera model, have never seen it or used it. However, this little excerpt is from the official published list of supported cameras from Adobe. The highlighted entry is for Lightroom Classic.
Here is a link to the entire list of supported cameras in case you are interested.
Not quite up to date, but see:
Basically Adobe 101, for Mirrorless cameras, Adobe accepts Built-in Lens Profiles. You cannot apply auto lens corrections.
You should notice the statement "Built-in Lens Profile Applied"
One unfortunate issue, is what if you are not using native glass? Lots of bitching at Adobe on this for several years now.
What Exact Version number of Lightroom are you asking about?
There is NO Lightroom CC. That name, the use of the letters CC, ended 3 years ago.
There is Lr Classic and Lr Desktop and then you have the Mobile versions for iOS and Android
I shot an event with my Z5, nikon lens and couldnt open the NEF files at all in LRoom, finally I downloaded NX Studio and exported all files as JPEGs, then I was able to edit them in LRoom. What a huge waste of time!
Please post your problem as a new discussion. Stepping into a year old closed discussion is not helpful. Just like this reply, not helpful.
When you do, include system info, like LrC version, OS, Windows or MAC.
