No Sync Icons next to collections

New Here ,
May 14, 2025 May 14, 2025

Hi all,

I'm using LRC version 14.3.1, but I'm unable to get synchronization to function properly. I've attempted to 'rebuild Sync Data,' paused and restarted sync, but nothing has resolved the issue.

In the top right corner, it indicates that everything is synced, yet in the collections pane on the left, there are no sync icons next to the collection names. Despite following various guides, I haven't been able to resolve this problem.

Thanks a lot,

Daniel

See this link for hints on deleting files from the Lightroom Cloud.-

"Creative Cloud app > Files" is not where your Lightroom photos are stored in the Cloud. Your photos are only available in the Lightroom apps.

And TBMK  this service was discontinued-

Discontinuation of Creative Cloud Synced files

Hi @Enthusiastic_hearted5C46 Thank you for reaching out! We're here to help!

We're sorry for the issue you're facing. Could you share some more information like your system configuration (In the Menu bar select Help > System Info) ? Did this issue start occurring after the update or any specific action?

While we wait for your reply you can try these steps for a quick fix:

Sign Out and Back In to Creative Cloud:

  • Sometimes, the connection with your Adobe account can cause issues. Try signing out of the Creative Cloud desktop application and then signing back in. After that, restart Lightroom Classic.

Check Individual Collection Sync Settings:

  • Double-check that the collections you expect to sync are actually marked for syncing. Right-click on a collection you want to sync and ensure that "Sync with Lightroom" is checked

Reset Lightroom Classic Preferences:

Manually Delete the Sync.lrdata file:

  • This file can sometimes become corrupted. "Rebuild Sync Data" is supposed to address this, but manually deleting it can be more effective.
  • 1) Close Lightroom Classic.
    2) Locate your Lightroom Catalog file (.lrcat) by clicking Edit > Catalogue Settings  > in General look for your                  catalogue than click Show. The sync.lrdata file (it might appear as a folder) will be in the same folder or a subfolder      named <YourCatalogName> Sync.lrdata.
    3) Delete the sync.lrdata file (or rename it, e.g., sync.lrdata.old, if you prefer to be cautious).
    4) Restart Lightroom Classic. It will need to rebuild the sync data.

Log into https://adobe.ly/4mvO8V4 and sign in with your Adobe ID and password. Once logged in, check under the "All Photos" section in the left-hand panel. If there are any synchronization problems, you should see a "Sync Issues" album or collection listed there.

  • Examine the Photos: Look at the individual photos in the "Sync Issues" album. There might be specific error messages or indicators associated with them.
  • Follow Instructions: Sometimes, there will be on-screen instructions within the web interface to help you resolve the sync issues for those specific photos.
  • Pause and Restart Sync: You can try pausing and then restarting the sync function on all your active Lightroom devices.
  • Back Up and Re-upload: For problematic images, consider making a backup, then removing them from Lightroom (including the "Deleted" folder), and re-uploading them.
  • Check Deleted Folder: Sometimes, images stuck in the syncing process might be in the "Deleted" folder. Restore them and let them sync before deleting them again.

See if this helps. Let us know how it goes. Cheers!

Noel

Thanks! I was able to sync my collection and now I can see my files on both my mobile device and the Lightroom app.

Now, I'm trying to delete some files from the cloud only—without removing them from my hard drive or Lightroom Classic catalog on my PC. I stopped sync for one of the collections and went to the Creative Cloud app > Files, but nothing appears there.

I'm using the same email address across all Adobe apps, so I’m not sure why I don’t see any files in the cloud. How can I view what's stored in the cloud and clear everything to start the sync process from scratch?
