Hi all,

Hope someone can help me with a, for me at least, strange issue with Lightroom Classic. Its been there a few versions, currently running the latest version: 14.1.1

I'm having some issues with copy develop settings from one photo to another. I've had these issues for a longer time but only just found out that its not happening with every folder and I can't find the difference between a folder that works and a folder that doesn't.

The issue:

I'm trying to copy paste settings from photo A to photo B, both in the same folder. This works between photos in Folder A, but does not work with photo's in folder B.

I've just imported photo's from my camera, taken on seperate dates. Imported the first batch to folder A, no presets applied, only selected copy to DNG. I started editing those, was able to copy paste between photo's and finished everything as expteded.

I then imported batch 2 to folder B, the SD card hasn't been removed from my PC in the meantime. Same settings as above, just a different folder (Folder a and folder B are both in the same main folder, on the same disk). And when starting with the editing of this second batch, I'm not able to copy paste develop settings between photos.

When going back to Folder A, i'm able to copy paste between those folders, but going back to folder B i'm still not able to.

Just to clarify, this is an example, there are multiple folders where it works and where it doesn't.

What i've tried:

  • Reset settings LRC
  • rebooted PC and LRC
  • Reinstalled LRC
  • Searched google for solutions (even went to page 2!), but all issues I see show people with this problem on all folders, not just specific folders.

I want to prevent starting a new catalog and start all over with the many photo's I currently have.

Hope someone can help!

Michel

A couple of screenshots (or two) of your Library Module, showing the folders in question, might help. The Folders panel, with Folder A selected, and one of the source photos selected, and the grid view showing many of the previews. And a similar shot but with Folder B selected. Make sure that the file names with extension are shown, and any warning badge such as photo missing are shown.
