Object mask keeps closing LRC

New Here ,
Jul 15, 2023 Jul 15, 2023

Everytime I attempt to make a new maks with the objects option my window slides away. I am on my MAC in full screen. Click on new mask then objects. Scroll my mouse over to the image but once the pointer hits the image the entire window slides away and shows my desktop. Re-open LRC window and attempt again and same result is experienced. The objects maks option will only work if I take LRC out of full screen.

Welcome to the Lightroom Community @Eric.G.Photography. I'll need more info to help you figure this out.

Please share the system info of Lightroom Classic from Help > System info > Copy & paste here or upload to Creative Cloud files (https://assets.adobe.com/files) and share the link with us.

Does this only happen when you're in fullscreen mode? Try this:

  • Apply any pending updates to the macOS.
  • Disconnect any extra display and only keep one display active at a time.

If you're using a slightly older mac machine with <1.5GB of VRAM, masking may not work as expected. Masking & newer features have a higher demand for graphics resources. Check this to learn more: https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/kb/lightroom-gpu-faq.html#gpu-for-image-processing

Thanks!

I love working in full screen. Helps me focus.

I would prefer not to download anymore software at this time. Your whole "tip" is to either use LrC in a new way instead of resolving the issue and then "selling" me on a new app... seems fishy to me bro
