Organisation of photos in folders

When you have a folder with multiple subfolders. It seems strange that if  the contents of the subfolders are shown at the time the parent folder is opened, that the contents of the subfolders are displayed in a random manner, thus destroying the organisation of the subfolders. It is confusing and seems to destroy any attempt to organise the structure of the collection. What is the reason for this? It would be reasonable to have a command that keeps the sequential structure of the data intact if that is desired. There seems to be an intent to keep the files randomly arranged and to force the use of key words. However key words only create subgroups without allowing any prioritisation. or seqencing of the contents. Attempts to overcome this by renumbering of the photos simply destroys the origins of the photos which is not a desirable remedy. It should be possible to organise the sequence of photos in any folder and to have that respected by the system.

What do you mean 'random manner'? You can sort photos in various ways. That also applies when you have selected a parent folder with the images in subfolders. Make sure that the toolbar is visible (hit 'T' if it is not) and look in the left corner. Folders and collections themselves are always sorted alphabetically.
