P: Allow for overwrite in Multi-Batch-Exporting

Currently in each export template there is a setting, that existing files should be overwritten without warning.

This works fine.

However, if multiple export templates are selected, this option is ignored and instead copies with a suffix are saved.

Please allow for an option to also allow overwriting existing files in Multi-Batch-Export.

I agree, this feels more like a bug to me. I've filed it with the team. Thanks for the report!

The team has reviewed this and determined the current behavior is as-designed. I am moving this from Bugs back to Discussions.

Comments from the team: "This was deliberately decided this way to avoid unwarranted overwriting of exported files by LrC."

I see the same behavior. Seems like a bug to me.  To reproduce:

1. Create two export presets, Test 1 and Test 2, with these settings:

2. Select a single photo.

3. Do File > Export, select presets Test 1 and Test, and click Batch Export.

4. Observe that <file>.jpg and <file>-Test 2.jpg are created in Desktop, rather than just <file>.jpg, even though both presets have the option Overwrite WITHOUT WARNING.

@Rikk Flohr: Photography, please consider moving this into Bugs -- see the recipe above.

@Rikk Flohr: Photography Would you mind putting this back into ideas then?

As a user I would prefer to decide myself if files are overwritten or not. Right now this decision is taken away from me, once a want to use the batch export whereas it is possible in normal export.
