I have been using filter folders for yours, but today it suddenly stopped working. Tried to bactrack on other LR version but no luck. Anyone has a fix?

Try deleting the "<catalog> Helper.lrdata" folder -- it caches information about LR folders and infrequently gets corrupted:

1. Do Catalog Settings > General > Show to open File Explorer on your catalog folder.

2. Exit LR.

3. In the catalog folder, delete the subfolder "<catalog> Helper.lrdata".

4. Restart LR.  It will rebuild "<catalog> Helper.lrdata".

Let us know if that fixes the issue.

Sounds like a Preferences issue. You can reset them using the information here:

I understand, I was using it myself today. It's why I rename folders after import.

Please be kind enough to tell us the version NUMBER of your Lightroom Classic. We need the version NUMBER and not words like "latest" or "up-to-date".
