Pas-Back Problem

When using the latest vers. of Lightroom, if I go Edit In to either NIK or Luminar for some editing and then send the file back to LR, the modified file appears properly in the Library tab. But if I switch to the Develop tab, the image shown is the original. I dont understand why if I pass it back to Develop mode, why the modified file doens't show.

In some cases, I have to create a virtual copy of the returned file, in order to continue editing it.

I am in Mac Monterey now, but I tried the same thing in the previous Mac version too. Same results.

Thoughts out there ?
