People failed to appear after I selected "Remove Face Region"

I discovered that the "Named People" feature in Lightroom Classic (V. 14.3.1, and perhaps earlier versions) is not reliable in its current form.  I lost many hours of labor when about half my Named People failed to appear after I selected "Remove Face Region" from about 80 photos in the Unnamed People section of the screen.  I don't how that happened nor does an Adobe tech when I called for assistance.

Adobe-- let's fix this feature with AI to have photos imported from any source (i.e., camera, iPhone, scanned, screenshot, etc.) and then reliably ID the person's face.  Also, Adobe, make it so that Lightroom doesn't lose any of the Named People that were already identified.

Thanks!
