People Masks Not Working Correctly

Community Beginner ,
Nov 27, 2025 Nov 27, 2025

If I select people masking in LrC 15.0.1 and then opt to make several masks thereunder such as face, body skin, clothes etc. any subsequent edits are simultaneously applied to every people mask despite having selected only one to work on. I'm working on a Mac Studio M2 Max with 64 GB ram and everything is up to date. Anyone else having this issue or know of a fix?

There is a checkbox to create separate masks for these details or not. That box only becomes visible if you selected two options or more. Your screenshot shows that you missed that and created one combined mask for facial skin and clothes.

Hi @defaultfs4vundmg9cg, welcome to the community!
Could you share some screenshots of the issue showing all the panels? That’ll help us take a closer look and understand what’s going on.
Thanks so much!

Thanks for your inquiry. Here are two screenshots. The4 first without a people mask. The second shows two people masks - face and clothing. Selected the clothing mask and decreased the exposure to illustrate this issue. When editing using either one of the two masks the edit alters compknents of both masks. Something corrupted? Any ideas on a solution? Before People Masking.jpgClothing mask edit alters face also.jpg
