Persistent object selection tool

Hi.

I'm very fond of the new "objects" selection tool in LR. I'm asking if there is a way to make it persist. I keep wanting to select/add/subtract multiple objects in a single "layer".  But I keep having to re-enable the objects tool every time. Either making a new "layer" or a new "sub-layer".

For example I might do a more general object selection and then using the object tool to subtract details from the selected object.

Is there a way or is this something that needs to be added?

This has been discussed here e.g. Solved: Easily add to object? - Adobe Support Community - 13456942

Also according to this P: (Masking)Adding easily repeating objects maskin... - Adobe Support Community - 13437587 a bug report is already in train about this somewhat hard-to-use behaviour.

Thank you. I can make the "Shift+N"solution work for me. (which is mention in "Adding easily repeating objects...").

Have a nice weekend. Cheers.
