Photo Merge Error

New Here ,
Jun 11, 2025 Jun 11, 2025

I just migrated LRC over to a Win 11 system and keep getting Photo merge error

Unable to merge the photos. Failed to import the final merged result from....

The images sit on a network share drive that works for everything else except for merging images into panoramas. They are raw files BTW.

Thoughts anyone...

Hi @Mike27095065n3lz

Sorry to hear you're running into this issue. The error message—“Unable to merge the photos. Failed to import the final merged result from...”—typically indicates a problem with file access or temporary file creation, especially when working from a network share.

Could you please confirm which version of Lightroom you're using? Also, does the Photo Merge work correctly if the files are saved on a local drive instead of the network share?

Regards,

Srishti

Thanks for the reply. I'm LRC v14.3.1 on a Win 11 system. The odd part is that I can perform all other LRC functions such as move images, create dir, delete, make adjustments, everything from LRC just like I was able too on my old Win10 box using the same network share. But when I  merge after the preview I get the error message. The network share is interfaced via ethernet and I have full access on it from my Win11 box. I tried it on again on my old Win10 system and it worked fine on the same images. On the new Win11 system, it still has the error. So it is something between Win11, LRC and the network share. Thanks for the assistance.Mike sends...Sent from my T-Mobile 5G Device
