Photos and Videos Downloading to Different Dates

Hello,

I take photographs with a Sony A9ii mirrorless camera. I download and organize my photos with Lightroom Classic (13.2 release, Camera RAW 16.2) on a Mac computer.

If I take photographs and videos (using the same camera and on the same SD card) at an event on June 1 and download them via LRC, my photographs will be correctly placed in a folder marked 2024-06-01. HOWEVER, the videos will be incorrectly placed in a folder marked 2024-06-02. A day LATER.  I have checked the metadata.  Both the photographs and vidoes says June 1 but LRC insists on placing all the videos in a folder with a date a day later.

Can anyone please tell me why it's doing this?

Thank you in advance.

Cheers.

David.

This is caused by Apple's poorly written Quicktime specification, causing LR to get the time zone wrong for capture dates of video from many cameras:

There's not much you can do, other than to manually move the videos to the correct folder after import.
