Photoshop Lightroom Classic Grey Thumbnail

After the lasted upgrade to Lightroom, I had a grey thumbnail that I cannot delete.  I get the following message.

An internal error has occurred.  ?:0: attempt to index field 'rootFile' (a nil value)

Any ideas?

I do not have an answer but maybe some of the posts in this (now closed) thread may help-

In particular the advice from Rikk Flohr re:-

1) A bad monitor Profile

2) A corrupt Preview Cache

3) Try resetting Preferences

4) Try Merging the Catalog into a new empty catalog.

(I note that the OP in this thread was incorrectly setting a Monitor profile for a Fax machine, and not the monitor.)

What plug-ins do you have? Specifically do you have LohiOptions?
