Can you try toggling on and off the the Store presets with catalog preference. Any difference?
FWIW, this is a user to user forum so 'bitching' to Adobe isn't going to help you. I know of no hard limit for the number of presets so that's not the problem.

I kinda have a similar problem. I cluster and group my presets in Lightroom Classic 14.2. Beyond a certain number of groups, it won't import more presets and tells me it's running out of groups. When I physically remove groups of presets from the preset folder (Windows Explorer), I am able to import new groups of presets. But when I copy back the presets I had removed, Lightroom won't start up again. I also noticed that some of the presets that were in the group that failed the first time are not visible in Lightroom. Trying to import them again results in the message that they were already imported.

You’ve posted to an ancient thread. It is highly unlikely that the issue described in this thread, though not impossible, is the same one you are currently experiencing. Rather than resurrect an old thread that is seemingly similar, you are better off posting to a new thread with fresh, complete information, including system information, a complete description of the problem, and step-by-step instructions for reproduction.
If the issue is the same, we will merge you back into the appropriate location. This thread will be locked.
Thank you!
