Preview Extraction script

After trying to get the "Scripts" to show up on my Lightroom Classic menu bar per the "script add" instructions for Preview Extraction script numerous times. I need to know how to enable this so I can run the script and extract my previews. I have attached screenshot of the created folder at the location that opens up when i click the "Show All Other Lightroom Presets" button. I'm also wondering why "Scripts" doesn't show up by default in the menu bar.... if one didn't have any scripts there would be nothing in the dropdown no harm no foul.

Scripts are NOT presets.  Scripts do not show up in the Other Lightroom Presets.  Look at the top menu bar to find the Scripts.  Its the Icon to the right of Help.

Also, you are placing the Scripts in the wrong place

I do not think you have the {Scripts} folder in the correct place. {Lightroom Settings} is not correct.

It should be in-

C:\Users\{YourName}\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Scripts

Then you need to copy and paste the .LUA script file into this folder.

Like this:

Restart Lr-Classic and the [Scripts] menu should appear in the top menu beside the [Help] item.

Thanks @Bob Somrak   (Tunnel vision- didn't notice the Mac topic)

So in Mac it looks like this is the folder-

{.../Application Support / Adobe / Lightroom / Scripts / }

@Rob_Cullen

Correct, the Mac path is a little longer but you got the diagnosis of the issue correct   : )

This ticket can be closed. I finally got an icon to show up next to "Help" and the script works. That being said, after running it several times all my previews disappeared and I had to reload the Catalog into LR again sooooo I'm not going to chance losing the previews again. I did a test and if I do a screen shot of a preview the size and resolution are much better than the .jpg files produced running the extract script. Rather not lose the previews and reload again vs running the script. Thanks to all for the help and suggestions.

Glad you got it sorted. You might find Jeffrey's plug-in a little more useful than the script: https://regex.info/blog/lightroom-goodies/preview-extraction
