Print Module Page Issues

In the Print Module, I just created a bunch of page layout templates and saved them before building out a number of pages with different layouts. Saving the layouts wasn't an issue, however, after adding photos to the first page then selecting a new page to drag across another saved layout template, it appears to be added without issue but if I navigate to the first page I created it disappears and the only page that left is the 2nd page (that is now #1 page instead of #2). This happens 100% of the time. I can't add multiple pages without other pages magically disappearing. This is extremely annoying since I use the print layouts to design wedding albums. Unless I'm doing something wrong, ADOBE PLEASE FIX!

First question- What Layout Style are you working in?  a) Single Image/Contact Sheet, or b) Custom Package. Neither will do what you are asking- if I correctly understand your request.

Some points to note-

- User (saved) Print Templates are specific to the Layout Style in which they were created.

- 'Single Image/ Contact Sheet'  uses only a single Print Template, ie. you cannot add or merge in other templates, which I believe is what you are attempting to do- Not possible. Multiple selected photos will create multiple prints - using the same single print template you have chosen. If you want different print templates then you would need to be selective-  Vertical photos to the 'Vertical' print template, Horizontal photos to the 'Horizontal' template, etc.

- 'Custom Package' also works as a single Print Template, but of interest, as you add more Cells to the Custom Package screen you can create additional added print pages. You cannot add or merge in another saved Custom Print template.  If you continue to add cells to 'Page 1', the most pages I have seen is 12, and then the User Template you save always has those 12 pages- in the ONE template. But trying to create an entire album of Custom Print layouts in the one template would be an exercise in futility.

- Perhaps you are thinking of the Book Module where you can add any Page Template of your choosing at random in the book.

- For Wedding Albums you might be better sourcing more capable album software, (Adobe In Design?)

- Or even use the Book module to design the pages. The Book module can 'Print to PDF' and if the Book Settings are set to as Book: JPEG - you can create JPGs of each page in the book.  Set page size, ppi, etc, for the quality you require, [Export Book to JPEG...],  Then Import the JPGs to the catalog, Crop to exact required ratio for your printing (Keep the ratio in mind when designing the cells on the Book pages).

Thank you for the detailed response. It actually helped. Even though I have
not created an album in a while using the Print Module, I know I have done
it before unless I'm going crazy. I'm using custom packages. When I add
cells to a page, I save it as a template. I did this many times with
different cell layouts and saved them. The idea was to quickly select a
template that will populate the page with the saved cell layout for each
page. But everytime I select a template for the second page it starts over
completely. Anyways, based on what you explained I now see that for every
page I add I have to manually layout the cells for each page. I used this
for album pages creation because the photos are already there in lightroom
and it's easy to drag the images up. Then I use Miller Labs to do the
actual printing after exporting each page. Probably not the best efficient
way of doing it but somehow that's how I started. Thanks again!
