Printing not working after upgrade to Lightroom Classic 10.0 from 9.4

I upgraded to Lightroom Classic 10.0 from 9.4 and I can no longer print. Clicking on the Print button in the Print module creates a Preparing Print Job progress bar which completes very quickly but nothing is ever sent to the print queue for my printer. I am running on a 2012 Retina MacBook Pro with MacOS 10.14.6. I have tried printing to multiple different printers (Canon and Epson) with no success.

I have tried resetting preferences which did not work. I have tried reverting to an earlier version and none work unless I revert all the way back to 8.4.1, when I can print again. I have tried upgrading from 8.4.1 to multiple later versions (9.0, 9.2, 9.4, 10.0) and none have printed. I have tried both an uninstall/reboot/new install and (from 8.4.1) just install later version.

Continuing to use 8.4.1 is not feasible as I lose nearly a year's work since I upgraded to the 9 catalog format.

I had (and reported) the exact same problem when I upgraded from 8.4.1 to 9.0. I reverted to 8.4.1 which restored Print functionality and then later upgraded to 9.2 which also had print working. I tried this again and this time it does not work.

Pretty frustrating for you Lawrence, and perhaps unfortunately illustrates the need to have a backup strategy which includes previous Catalog versions.

Did the link above help?

Thanks GoldingD. Spot on with the link. It's sorted now. That wasn't my exact problem but it was definitely in the right area. Page Settings and Paper Handling were OK but Printer Settings was set to an invalid page range of Pages: From 2 to 2 on a 1 page document. I changed the setting to Pages: All and Lightroom printed normally. I tested this on v9.2 and then upgraded straight to 10.0. Exact same problem with the same fix so all is good now with printing working and no work lost.

Tony, absolutely agree with you on the backup strategy and I do have previous catalog versions backed up. The problem is that when the Catalog changes format as it did at 9.0 and 10.0, the newer catalogs cannot be read by earlier versions of Lightroom, losing work since the format change. Anyway, now I am happy with Lightroom again and will know what to do if it happens when 11.0 is released.

Kudos to the community for prompt and helpful responses.

I'm having the same problem. Worked fine before -- Now, with Mac OS Mojave 10.14.6, a mac miini and Lightroom Classic 10.4, I get the "sending to printer" message but no printer connection. Printer is on and connected by all other accounts.
